I processed this photo in a made up dilution of HC-110 just to try things out. If you compare this to High Contrast (the other photo from the same gig), you can see how Annalie was standing under the light, but in this photo only her hand is, the rest is in shadow. If I’d used the same processing as High Contrast you’d only be able to make out the hand. I used a really low dilution of HC-110 but at a high temperature, with 3 inversions every 4 minutes, to keep the contrast low and retain the detail.
I don’t find the results as interesting as High Contrast, but much more of the roll was usable. I’ve got one more roll to develop from this shoot, and I think I might increase the inversions but use the same development process, with the hope of finding a middle ground between the two.
